Fernando Torres smashed a hat trick as Liverpool ran riot with a 6-1 win over struggling Hull City.
Steven Gerrard and Ryan Babel (2) were also on target to give Liverpool an emphatic 6-1 win at home and increase their push for the title.
The Reds nowÂ sit just three points behind Chelsea who went down 3-1 at Wigan.Â

Babel struck on 88 minutes after Kuyt went down the right and whipped in a cross to give Babel the simplest of tap ins. His second came after a stroke of luck when he inadvertently deflected Rieraâ€™s shot to see it loop over the helpless Hull keeper.
A great boost for the Reds goal difference as they look forward to taking on Chelsea in the league minus the suspended Cech after his sending off against Wigan today.
