After their worst ever start to a Premiership campaign, speculation continues to increase that new owners of the club, New England Sports Ventures (NESV) may not be prepared to wait too long to find a replacement for Roy Hodson who has guided Liverpool to only 6 points from a possible 24, leaving them in 19th place in the table.
Rightly or  wrongly, some sources are already advising that they understand that search to already be under way by NESV, to create a short list of replacement candidates as Roy Hodgson finds himself needing to deliver quickly in the coming games to revitalise Liverpool’s season and keep himself in charge. The side at present looks both unmotivated and unhappy with the tactics asked of them to deploy, confidence levels seemingly falling game by game.
While some voices continue to ask for patience in the Liverpool way of supporting a manager, a number of polls show that number to be under 20% and falling, staggering figures in their own right. As with any clubs possible managerial change, the list of candidates can fluctuate frequently. At present the names favoured are as follows but who would you choose?

Liverpool News 24/7

Don’t think Hiddink will leave his job and don’t want MON anywhere near our club. Anyway, for me, the choice always was and always will be Manuel Pellegrini.
I Agree with you Noelle, Manuel Pellegrini is my Choice too, he nearly became our manager before Roy Hodgson was appointed, it has never been hodgson for me, he is never a Liverpool type manager! what ever team he has managed has always been in the lower half for the table or around the bottom, Pellegrini has showed what he can do, take villareal when he managed them, he can work on a budget and make the team play with confidence, and he showed hes class when he managed Real Madrid, nearly winning the la liga. he is a brilliant manager plus he can speak Very good english so no communication problems in that department and hes a free agent. oh and maybe if we do get Pellegrini as he is a chillian, might bring in alexi sanchez
pelligrinis basically a spanish hodgeson who didnt necisserily f*ck up his big chance, rather Klinsman or Loew. King Kenny shouldve been a stop gap manager before we found a proper replacement for rafa – who in my opnion shouldnt have gone…
So much for Liverpool fans backing the manager eh! Sad days indeed.
A team of 11 international players can’t string two passes together, well they can but they’re all sideways or backward. The only person who can cross a ball is a 32 year old central defender playing at right back. I’m not saying that Hodgson hasn’t made mistakes, but the players have not been playing up to their potential for over a year and need to step up and do their jobs. And some players have never lived up to their potential (Babel anyone?). Would another manager make them play? Well this is seemingly what two managers that can’t make them do. Let’s try another manager though, and if after 8-10 games things haven’t improved, we’ll get another one. The manager has got to be given time.
Causing trouble for Liverpool is what the media do almost full time. There was a bit of a let up when they helped force Benitez out, but a poor start and they smell blood again The ownership issue is finally over,
but suddenly the Everton game is the most important game for 30 years. Really? Want to build up some more imaginary pressure? The derby game can be a lottery at the best of times, nevemind when we are playing badly.
Pellegrini – easy choice.
I believe Bert van Jaarwijk ( pardon for the spelling ) current Dutch International Coach should replace RH, he is doing wonders for the Dutch team , took the Dutch team to the final of the World Cup in SA , now the Dutch team is doing very well in Euro 2012 , he will be worth every penny spent.
I definitely don’t want O’Neill (still don’t understand how he got such a easy ride considering the amount of money that he spent at Villa!) and barely want Pelligrini any more than him – I want somebody that has a reputation for playing good football, so my first choice has always been Riijkaard.
I wouldn’t be too upset to see any of the others on that list (barring O’Neil & Pelligrini), or Slaven Bilic either, be our next manager but I definitely would be most optimistic if Riijkaard was brought in.
Hiddink is definitely my first choice for sure. but assuming he won’t quit his current job, Pellegrini would be a decent choice.
my first choice without any doubt would be guus hiddink, rijkaard would be great also as he would have a great deal of knowledge regarding barcas youth players and academy, allowing us to set up just like barca and possibly taking the next fabregas/messi/bojan off their hands. i dont think the players are lacking motivation or desire as has been mentioned, torres is receiving loads of unfair criticism and so too is gerrard but the matter of fact is the players dont know what they are supposed to be doing. theres no rhythm, no fluidity, no understanding which is what you would expect from a new side struggling to gel together but how can this apply to a group of players that have played together for the last three years. as for new signings i would not trust roy with £30 never mind £30 million, he has no transfer power, just look at the rubbish he has bought in, thee worst midfielder in the italian serie A – poulsen and a second rate left back in konchesky when we clearly had these positions filled with better players – insua and aquilani. i also have to say that it is absolutely scandalous that a liverpool manager 6 or 7 games into a season has the audacity to say that we are in a relegation battle, he should have been sacked on the spot for even thinking about that nevermind speaking those words, what does that do to a group of players, it messes with their mindset, its negative and drops heads and in a way can disillusion players into thinking that they are going to be at the bottom for the rest of the season. Henry and the board have the ideal opportunity to sack this muppet as they can always claim that its a fresh new start, new owners = new manager.
OH how we need ‘RAFA’ right NOW !!! I hope and pray he comes back !!! in the meanwhile ‘VAN GAAL’ would be the one I would like to see at Anfield !!! Hiddink would’n't be interested, and has stated he is almost ready for retirement ! He also has a habit of not lasting anywhere for very long ! COME BACK SOON ‘RAFA’
As far as the stadium is concerned.it would be a backward step to redevelope the present ‘ANFIELD’.A move to a new stadium is the way to go! The proposed site in STANLEY PARK is a fantastic site,(and only yards away from the present one !) I have passed Stoke City’s new ground a couple of times and it stands out magnificently ! The site in Stanley Park would be similar(it is on ‘high land’) – the new stadium sited there, would be seen from miles and miles away. It would look ‘majestic’ from a distance !!!
I have all the fond memories of ‘Anfield’ just the same as everyone else ! But surely the ‘club’ should look to the future!!!
