Newcastle forward Demba Ba has advised manager Alan Pardew on Twitter not to worry about rumours linking him with moves away from St James’ Park. All good: Demba Ba tweeted the transfer rumours about him are not true: (Picture: Kevin Quigley) Ba scored 16 goals last season and has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs as well as teams abroad. Both Manchester United and Liverpool are after the Senegalese striker’s signature, as are Turkish giants Galatasaray. But the 27-year-old has told Pardew and Newcastle fans through Twitter, not to take any notice of the recent speculation. ‘So much stuff about me lately, rumours are rumours! Just forget about it,’ posted Ba on his official account.Ba signed a three-year deal with Newcastle after joining on a free transfer from West Ham last year and played a huge role in Newcastle’s fifth placed finish last season. But there is a release clause in his contract, believed to be worth £7million, which has attracted interest from other clubs. That clause is a major concern for Newcastle supporters and Pardew, but his recent tweet will come as some reassurance for worried fans.
