Fabio Borini (R) joined Liverpool earlier in the summer (Pictures: Getty) Liverpool want to bring in up to four new players before the window slams shut, with Joe Allen, Clint Dempsey and Gaston Ramirez among the names Rodgers is chasing, but he admits the valuation of his targets is making deals tough to complete:’Obviously when it’s a club like Liverpool prices are always increased and so on, but I always felt it was important by the beginning of the season we could have the squad we want – and certainly by the end of the transfer window I would hope that will be the case.’Rodgers has already baulked at Fulham’s £10 million plus valuation on Dempsey, but is hopeful that deal can be completed, while top target Allen is believed to have told Swansea he would like the opportunity to move to Anfield.Should Liverpool land the duo, and successfully offload struggling striker Carroll, Rodgers’ final target is likely to be another forward, but he is yet to settle on an option.Reds owner Fenway Sports have promised Rodgers he will have 100% of the money made from sales, to help fund his squad overhaul.
