      The Last Meal

Maxi Rodriguez took to his @mr11ok Twitter account to post this photo as he headed out for a final meal with his closest friends from the Liverpool squad before heading off to play for former club Newell’s Old Boys.

It was believed that new man at the helm Brendan Rodgers was keen to keep hold of the Argentinian winger, who found the net 17 times in 73 appearances for the club but the player was keen to return to his roots.

Liverpool fans will wish a nice guy all the best and hope that he had gone on to build on his stats at the club but a couple of hat tricks and a knack for netting against Chelsea will live long in the memory.

            Alonso Come Home

Whilst it might be a little premature to suggest that the potential move  in the summer, of Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, back to an English Premier League club, could mean a mass of squad changes at the Bernabeu, its not normally enough to stop a Red being a little hopeful all the same.

It might not be what many a fan would call realistic but its never a bad plan to put together a tribute video of the much loved Red that is Xabi Alonso, presently plying his trade in the white of Madrid and sitting 10 points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

The midfield genius was quick to get a message over Twitter in support of his former team mates on Sunday, sending out the tweets “Come on Reds!! All the best pals.” and the hashtag “#inPepewetrust”.
