The FA have confirmed that Liverpool’s FA Cup Semi-Final will take place on Saturday April 14th, with the kick off time yet to be confirmed.
The Reds still wait to find out their opposition on the day as Everton and Sunderland drew whilst a Stewart Downing goal clinched victory for Liverpool in front of the Anfield faithful.
Everton and Sunderland face off again, this time at the Stadium of Light, on Tuesday March 27th to try and book their own Wembley visit.
It will be a major weekend for the club, with the anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster coming the following a day, a date that the club has never been asked to play on as it remembers the 96 who tragically lost their lives in the FA Cup Semi-Final of 1988.
That date of April 15th will see Wembley hold the other semi final of Spurs/Bolton v Chelsea. Spurs and Bolton also awaits a replay following abandonment at 1-1, following the awful collapse of Fabrice Muamba that led medics to battle to save his life on the pitch.
