Hannover 96 do not need to sell Ron-Robert Zieler to Liverpool, according to the club's president Martin Kind. Zieler, who came through the ranks at Manchester United, has emerged as one of Germany's brightest young goalkeepers since joining Hannover three years ago. He has not missed a single Bundesliga game in the last two seasons and was rewarded for his displays with his first international cap in November 2011.

Lazio are ready to hijack Inter Milan's move for Newcastle and Liverpool target Douglas, according to sources in Italy. talkSPORT told you back in March that Inter had signalled their interest in the defender ahead of a possible summer move. The 25-year-old, who has Dutch citizenship having been at FC Twente since 2007, was linked heavily with Newcastle last summer and came close to switching to St James' Park. In the end a transfer failed to materialise, although it is thought Alan Pardew still retains an interest in the Brazil-born centre-back.
