Oussama Assaidi is set for a £3million switch to Liverpool (Picture: EPA) The 24-year-old is in the final year of his contract at the Eredivisie club and is set to move to Anfield, subject to passing a medical.Assaidi was also a target for Fulham, Spartak Moscow and Galatasaray, as well as Dutch side Ajax, but is expected to be unveiled by the Merseyside club within the next 24 hours.However, he will not be signed in time to be eligible for this weekend’s opening fixtures.Assaidi takes new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers’s summer signings to a total of three, following the acquisitions of forward Fabio Borini from Italy and Swansea midfielder Joe Allen. The Reds get their new Premier League campaign underway when they travel to Steve Clarke’s West Brom, who himself left his Anfield coaching role in the summer following the departure of Kenny Dalglish.
